The Hub, which overlooks and is part of Bude Sea Pool, was completed in 2017 and now commands arguably the best view in Bude!
Fully insulated, The Hub was built for the benefit of the Community and we are keen for all to utilise it! It is available to hire and provides a unique and interesting space for both private and community use. It is ideally suited for meetings, gatherings, training sessions and childrens’ birthday parties to name a few.
Maybe you represent a community support network or conservation group and need a place to bring together supporters? Do you run a book, music or other creative interests club? Perhaps you’re a surf school offering Lifeguard or Surf Instructor training looking for an inspiring venue to teach from that couldn’t be any closer to the surf?!
Book your next meeting with us……these groups have!
- Bude Refugee Support Group
- Ministry of Defence
- CR*P Beach Cleaning
- Cornwall Wildlife Trust
- Budehaven School
- Bude Infants School
- Swim Safe
- Watercolour Workshops
There is NO charge for non-profit community groups and a nominal £20 suggested donation for private and commercial organisations to hire The Hub, which is bookable by the half or full day.
There are 3 large tables, seating for up to 25 people to enable users to set up the room to their own preference, and a flipchart. We provide free tea and coffee, but ask users to supply their own milk. Changing rooms are also available on request.
Please note, we do not have WiFi and there are currently no toilet facilities at The Hub (nearest are Summerleaze car park) and regrettably it is not accessible for wheelchair users, prams or buggies. This is as a result of there being steps both down to where The Hub is located and steps up to enter The Hub itself.

When The Friends of Bude Sea Pool (FoBSP) charity was formed in 2011, one of the early decisions made was to provide beach huts to make the most of the pool’s location and the fabulous views from the terraces above the iconic tidal pool looking out across Summerleaze Beach.
The revenue generated by leasing these beach huts goes towards the Pool’s maintenance and keeping Bude Sea Pool open and free for all to use. The 18 beach huts are normally offered on yearly leases from 1st June. Although it is the hut lessee’s responsibility to keep their beach hut in good condition internally, we are lucky enough to have an amazing team of volunteers who keep the outsides in tip top condition.
We do occasionally have a daily/weekly rental hut available in the summer months. FoBSP currently have a waiting list for an annual hut lease, but if you are interested in finding out more about the terms, conditions and cost of a beach hut lease, or would like to put your name on the waiting list please do contact Martyn Holehouse, Beach Huts Coordinator on firstname.lastname@example.org
