From 1st April until the end of October, the Pool Crew are ready to welcome you to Bude Sea Pool.
They ensure that the health and safety needs of everyone are met throughout the day and encourage visitors to look after themselves and other fellow users. They can also be found assisting with the odd weever and jellyfish stings on behalf of the Lifeguards.
As well as the above, they promote the work of Friends of Bude Sea Pool, the Charity which solely funds the upkeep and enhancement of the Pool, keeping it free for everyone to use. They do this by
- Helping people to sign up to become a Friend or make a donation
- Running the Pop-Up Shops (Poolside and also in the Hub). If you are looking for an essential or even a souvenir of your visit, please stop at the Poolside Shop. All profits go back into looking after the Pool.
The Pool Crew also have a huge amount of knowledge about the Pool and Bude – whether it’s history, geography or even social. They can recommend the best place for almost anything, from a pasty or a scone, to a nice walk or place to visit nearby.
