Many local businesses support Bude Sea Pool simply to do just that, they ‘support’ it. The Pool couldn’t be where it is at without such a community. In a small reciprocal community such as Bude, promoting each other also brings more trade to the economy, encouraging people to visit and to buy locally.
By supporting Friends of Bude Sea Pool, local businesses have the opportunity to advertise to FoBSP’s membership, those visiting, and much wider. Business Sponsor listings are available to the public in the annual handbook, noticeboards and the FoBSP website.
In addition, each Business Sponsor is given a ‘Business Focus’ post on the Charity’s social media channels. FoBSP’s audience is ever-growing and includes 26K Facebook followers and 8,500 Instagram followers. FoBSP has an average of 34,645 engagements on our posts. Research suggests that 66% of business in Bude prefer online interactions.
This autumn, Chris, our Finance Manager, and his team of volunteers are going to local businesses to offer if they might like to join or renew on this scheme that runs annually from April each year. Sponsors confirm and pay by December, provide him with listings and an advertisement that go into the annual handbook that is published each Spring. This is then sent to all Friends, some in digital and some in hard copy.
