Photography Installation and Talks by Ian Robson, MA Photography student, Falmouth University

Come and see Ian’s stunning photographic study of our winter swimming community at Bude Sea Pool. For Ian’s MA work he has made Bude Sea Pool his focus throughout his studies. He has even joined the winter swimmers in cold dipping himself! Open from 10-6 daily over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend. He will also be offering talks at 11am & 2pm daily.
Here is Ian’s introduction to the images:
The Sea Pool, a liminal space between land and sea, a transitional space between tides, a place where humanity connects with nature in a space shaped by human activity. Where the going in and the coming out of its swimmers resonates with the ebb and flow of its tidal rhythm.
‘Winter haven’ investigates the spatial, physical, sensory, social, and emotional relationships between Bude Sea Pool’s community of swimmers and volunteers sustaining itself through the winter months.
